'I'm coming after you:' Donald Trump threatens rivals; prosecutor seeks protective order

In the aftermath of a third indictment, special counsel Jack Smith requested a judge late Friday for a protective order against the ex-president, attempting to prohibit him from disseminating evidence from witnesses. "All the proposed order seeks to prevent is the improper dissemination or use of discovery materials, including to the public," Smith said in a late-night court filing, alleging that Trump's rantings could chill witnesses in the case.

The prosecutor referenced Trump's earlier-in-the-day all-caps threat on Truth Social: "IF YOU GO AFTER ME, I'M COMING AFTER YOU." According to the Trump team, the post "is the definition of political speech," and  was responding to "dishonest special interest groups and Super PACs."
